Mepunga Scarlett was checked and fell approaching the turn out of the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed right wrist, right scapula and left sartorius muscle injuries. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Colac Kid - the winner of the event.
