Steward's Report
King Plum was slow to begin.
Marino (eased and turned head outwards turning into the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Steven Hetherton regarding Marino’s racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Marino was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Hetherton pleaded guilty to the charge. Marino must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
