Steward's Report
A pre race urine sample was taken from Aston Bourke.
Aston Bourke and Lala Effie were quick to begin. Bronze was slow to begin.
Miss Relentless (racing manners in the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Ms. Kathleen Boyle declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Ms. Boyle regarding Miss Relentless pulling up soon after the 400m boxes and returning to the 460m boxes. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Miss Relentless was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Boyle pleaded guilty to the charge. Miss Relentless was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Geelong and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
