Stewards spoke with Kennel Representative Ms. Rickii Lee Church regarding the greyhound's overall performance in the event. Taking into the account the injury sustained and the significant interference suffered, Stewards took no further action. 

Paw Whisper, Paw Crafter and Paw Fabian were quick to begin.

Stewards noted that Idron Bale and Show Cause collided multiple times in the home straight. Stewards were comfortably satisfied that neither greyhound's racing manners constituted a breach of the rules. Subsequently, Stewards took no further action.

Magnum Riot, Bourbon Bullet and County Kildare raced wide in the home straight. 

County Kildare (turned its head outwards on the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Kennel Representative Mr. Jeffrey Geall declined the opportunity to have the greyhound re-examined. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, County Kildare was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Geall reserved his right to enter a plea to the charge. County Kildare was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat (1st offence) and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mahogany and Aeroplane Mode were slow to begin.

Belle Riot and Heathcote Star were quick to begin. 

Heathcote Star (marred Belle Riot approaching the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Craig Elliot regarding Heathcote Star's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123,Heathcote Star was charged with marring. Mr. Elliot pleaded guilty to the charge. Heathcote Star was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Paw Zachary (marred Heathcote Star in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury and left shin soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Myles Delbridge regarding Paw Zachary's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Paw Zachary was charged with marring. Mr. Delbridge pleaded guilty to the charge. Paw Zachary was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Crimson Kit was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hickey pleaded not guilty to the charge. Crimson Kit was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
