Steward's Report
Lady Tequila was quick to begin. Shaggy Bear was slow to begin.
Lady Tequila (checked turning out of the front straight, lost ground from entering the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf injury and a spike wound on the left foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Sheldon Hamilton regarding the overall performance of the greyhound in the event. After hearing submissions from Mr. Hamilton, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
Big Mizzi (checked turning out of the front straight, lost ground from entering the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mrs. Emma Scott regarding the overall performance of the greyhound in the event. After hearing submissions from Mrs. Scott, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
