Steward's Report
The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 86 due to technical issues with the kennelling equipment. The kennels closed at 6:12pm.
Tonk Jean - New declared weight of 29.6kg. Last raced at 28kg.
Tipsy Bluebird was quick to begin. Mr. Sin Rap and Trash Poker were slow to begin.
Radiation Band underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the right achilles. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Kennel Representative Mr. Shaun Coulson regarding Radiation Band's performance in the event. After hearing submissions from Mr. Coulson, viewing the available race footage, and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Radiation Band unsatisfactory. Radiation Band must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Trash Poker underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left gracilis muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Sally Cassar and Mr. Christopher Cassar regarding Trash Poker's performance in the event. After hearing submissions from Mr. and Ms. Cassar, viewing the available race footage, and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Trash Poker unsatisfactory. Trash Poker must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
