Steward's Report
An out of competition urine sample was taken from White Owl on 2 October 2024, pursuant to GAR 139.
On Song Ice – Late scratching at 5:56pm when Trainer Ms. Michelle Mallia reported the greyhound to be ill. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Flaming Wheels was quick to begin.
Blessed Rain (contacted the running rail in the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Lulu's Ride (severely checked and fell turning out of the front straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Flaming Wheels - the winner of the event.
