Steward's Report
Cinnamon Star and Lilly Octane were slow to begin.
Lilly Octane, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Robert Colpoys regarding Lilly Octane’s racing manners in entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Lilly Octane was charged with marring. Mr. Colpoys pleaded guilty to the charge. Lilly Octane was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race urine sample was taken from No Iron Team – the winner of the event.
The judge semaphored the incorrect numbers of 6 - 8 - 1 - 4. This was corrected to 6 - 8 - 1 - 2 before the All Clear was given.
