Steward's Report
Crypto Tiger was slow to begin.
Fitzroy Halle (faltered at the 150m mark and tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was subsequently re-examined. Fitzroy Halle was found to have a left pectoral muscle injury. A 10 day stand down peirod was imposed. Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Kennel Representative Ms. Paula Boots to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Fitzroy Halle in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
La Vista Express (raced erratically throughout the event) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury and laceration to the right stopper. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Paula Boots regarding the racing manners of La Vista Express throughout the event. After hearing submissions from Ms. Boots, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action. In arriving at this decision, Stewards formed the view that La Vista Express attempted to cross to the outside for the duration of the event. Whilst this action caused significant interference, Stewards were of the view that the greyhound's racing manners did not constitute a breach of the rules.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Gerard O'Keeffe regarding the racing manners of After The Bell approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. O'Keeffe, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Frank Andrighetto regarding the racing manners of Redgum Wars approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Andrighetto, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Scott James regarding the racing manners of All Done Up. After hearing submissions from Mr. James, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Redgum Wars - winner of the event.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the vicinity of the 150m mark and deemed it suitable for racing.
