Steward's Report
Highly Connected and South Thailand were quick to begin. Suffolk Park and Fuji Apple were slow to begin.
Untethered turned its head outwards entering the back straight and marred Angelani multiple times thereafter. Untethered subsequently tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a left long head triceps muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Simon Barker regarding Untethered's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Untethered was charged with marring. Mr. Barker pleaded guilty to the charge. Untethered was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence). Untethered must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Angelani was severely impeded from the back straight onwards and subsequently tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.
