Paw Ultra and Jackpot Jewel were quick to begin. Paldron Bale was slow to begin.
Jackpot Jewel marred Paw Ultra approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Wayne Gray regarding Jackpot Jewel's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Jackpot Jewel was charged with marring. Mr. Gray pleaded guilty to the charge. Jackpot Jewel was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
