Steward's Report
Challis Candy was quick to begin. Major Cyclone was slow to begin.
Nicolson Bale (faltered approaching the 100m mark and tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examinaed following event 5. Nicolson Bale was found to have injuries to the right dew claw and right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Beattie regarding Nicolson Bale's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Beattie to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Nicolson Bale in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
