Steward's Report
Playback was slow to begin.
Stewards noted the muzzle of Black Fire became dislodged during the running of the event.
Black Fire (turned its head to the inside soon after the start) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the nose. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Cheryl Pirani regarding Black Fire’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Black Fire was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Pirani pleaded guilty to the charge. Black Fire was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
