Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed approximately 3 minutes to allow for track preparation due to the delay in Race 5.
A pre-race sample was taken from One Spark.
Gunai Rumours and Hosey Sidekick were quick to begin. Firing Chief was slow to begin.
Firing Chief and Mad Blast (collided on the first turn causing Firing Chief to fall and Mad Blast to be severely checked and tail off), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that Firing Chief was found to have no apparent injury. Mad Blast was reported to have a right gracilis injury. A 21 stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the first turn and deemed it satisfsctory for racing.
