A pre-race sample was taken from Sherry Cherry.

Obvious was quick to begin.  Max Tango jumped awkwardly at box rise and was very slow to begin (5L).  Groovin' and Kentucky King were slow to begin. 

Sudoku Jade was slow to begin.

Sudoku Jade (checked on the first turn and lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. 

Fancy Vanessa – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events, in accordance with GAR 106.

A post-race sample was taken from Mr. Boot Boot - winner of the event.

Zipping Perkins was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Fallon Bale - winner of the event. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Angelani on 06/02/2024, pursuant to GAR 139.

Cabao Nickel was quick to begin. Chasing Chappy was slow to begin.

Angelani (stumbled on the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right gracilis and right long head triceps muscle injuries. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Chasing Chappy underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the Trainer’s request and was found to have a left toe and monkey muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Angelani, Velox Bale and Whipping Along raced wide in the home straight. 

A post-race sample was taken from Cabao Nickel - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Circle The Globe.

This event was delayed approximately 3 minutes after the starting light failed to activate the boxes on the first occasion.  All greyhounds were removed from the boxes and underwent a veterinary examination.  All greyhounds were passed fit to compete and were reboxed after the starting boxes were tested to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

Mepunga Riley and Rev Querida were quick to begin.  Step On Air, Windy Biscuit and Tea Yemen were slow to begin.

Circle The Globe raced wide in the home straight.

Tea Yemen (fell approaching the home turn), underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. 

The start of this event was delayed approximately 3 minutes to allow for track preparation due to the delay in Race 5.

A pre-race sample was taken from One Spark.

Gunai Rumours and Hosey Sidekick were quick to begin.  Firing Chief was slow to begin.

Firing Chief and Mad Blast (collided on the first turn causing Firing Chief to fall and Mad Blast to be severely checked and tail off), underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported that Firing Chief was found to have no apparent injury.  Mad Blast was reported to have a right gracilis injury.  A 21 stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the first turn and deemed it satisfsctory for racing.

Aaron Alpaca - New declared weight of 25.7kg, last raced at 27kg. 

Mac Cruz was slow to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from Perfect Sal.

Dr. Forest was slow to begin.

Flying Bessie - New declared weight of 27.1kg, last raced at 25.9kg.

Soho Passin' By underwent an examination by the On-Track Veterinarian prior to the event and passed fit to race.

Riverdale Turbo was quick to begin.  Payton's Pearl was slow to begin.

Payton's Pearl, Riverdale Turbo and Seth Sonic raced wide in the home straight.

Devil's Noir - New declared weight of 33kg, last raced at 34.4kg.

Perfect Stranger and Cawbourne Dior were slow to begin.

Perfect Stranger and Lorelle Soldier raced wide in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Super Size Fries. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Gracie Pacey. 

Finnis Bale – Turned in the boxes, took no competitive part in the event and was placed on a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 106(1) and pursuant to GAR 132. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right back muscle injury and a spike wound. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Aston Plus was quick to begin. Chinchilla Mist was slow to begin.

Satisfactory Trial 1:

Jord's The Gift – Seizure – Solo, Distance: 400m, Weight: 29.2kg, Box 1, Time Run 22.52 (8.39)  – Comment: Not cleared

Jord's The Gift underwent a post-trial veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a post-trial seizure. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Jord's The Gift is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards, and a Satisfactory Trial is completed pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42(3), Jord's The Gift is suspended from racing for 3 months at all tracks.

Ethanol Unleaded – Unsatisfactory Performance – Field of 4, Distance: 400m, Weight: 35.1kg, Box 6, Placed 1st, Time Run 22.588 – Comment: Cleared all tracks, except Sandown

Tinker Bruce – Fail To Chase & Weight Trial – Field of 4, Distance: 400m, Weight: 28.6kg, Box 3, Placed 2nd, Time Run 22.802 – Comment: Cleared All Tracks, except Ballarar.
