Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Lektra Sam.
Lektra Sam and Cruising Amy were quick to begin.
Lavish Showgirl (checked and lost ground on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the event, Lektra Sam collapsed in the catching pen. The greyhound was pronounced deceased by the On–Track Veterinarian. Routine samples were taken, and an autopsy will be conducted in accordance with GAR 43.
