Steward's Report
Toe – Late scratching at 9:10am when Mr. Jordan Formosa reported the greyhound to have lameness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Spicy Minx was quick to begin.
Where To Next (turned it's head outwards and marred Spicy Minx in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to a right rear toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Chilcott regarding Where To Next’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Where To Next was charged with marring. Ms. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge. Where To Next is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Demon Davey - the winner of the event.
