Steward's Report
Slipstream Lad and Sir Benjamin Jon were slow to begin. Grand Cobbler and Escapade Jess collided soon after the start checking Escapade Jess. Simply Cosmic and Transam Sally collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Transam Sally and severely checking Simply Cosmic. Sir Benjamin Jon and Escapade Jess collided approaching the first turn. Slipstream Lad checked off the heels of Grand Cobbler on the first turn checking Grand Cobbler. Transam Sally and Slipstram Lad collided on the first turn. Sir Benjamin Jon and Escapade Jess collided entering the back straight. Global Sunset checked off the heels of Grand Cobbler approaching the home turn.
Simply Cosmic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a head wound and a left back injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Escapade Jess was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to S.Hopes the handler of Escapade Jess and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the back straight.
