Steward's Report
Why Not Ryan was a late scratching at 3:32pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. W. Gray was fined the sum of $100.
Sonic Goddess and Sir Benjamin Jon were slow to begin. Spicy Bling, Devondale Dude and Destiny Stone collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Spicy Bling, Sonic Goddess, Devondale Dude and Sir Benjamin Jon. Sonic Goddess and Sir Benjamin Jon collided approaching the second turn. Have A Dip raced wide in the back straight. Have A Dip and Destiny Stone collided on the third turn. Sonic Goddess eased approaching the home turn.
Sonic Goddess was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(b) stewards charged Sonic Goddess with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
