Steward's Report
Why Not Maggie was a late scratching at 3:32pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. W. Gray was fined the sum of $100.
He's Deep Purple, Dead Set Stunner and Mister Curtis were slow to begin. Nickel Creek, Meares and Abigail collided soon after the start checking Meares. Nickel Creek, He's Deep Purple and Whispering Point collided approaching the first turn. Whispering Point checked off Dead Set Stunner on the first turn checking He's Deep Purple; He's Deep Purple raced wide for the remainder of the event. Dead Set Stunner checked off Nickel Creek on the third turn. Meares contacted the running rail on the home turn.
He's Deep Purple was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
