Trentus and Magic Heights collided approaching the first turn, checking Trentus and severely checking Magic Heights which stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. Gillwartz faltered on the first turn and subsequently pulled up. Trentus eased on the first turn. White Hutchy and Linguist collided approaching the home turn. Lovely Lucy crossed to the outside entering the home straight. Gillwartz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right back and left shoulder muscles. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Magic Heights was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right hock and right shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Trentus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the Stewards charged Trentus with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT pursuant to GAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be accepted.
