Steward's Report
Slick Silvie was a late scratching at 7:30am due to injury.
Redline Task and Selynya Surprise were slow out. Take Me Home crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Selynya Surprise and Nine Darter. Lektra Gold, Selynya Surprise and Nine Darter collided approaching the first turn checking Selynya Surprise. Bestears galloped on the heels of Take Me Home on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Selynya Surprise checked off Nine Darter on the first turn. Nine Darter faltered on the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result. Bestears and Gibbsy On Fire collided approaching the home turn checking Gibbsy On Fire. Redline Task and Selynya Surprise collided in the home straight.
Nine Darter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr S Smith (handler) of Nine Darter and reminded him of his responsibility to check the "Clearance to Leave Course" form before leaving the track.
