Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Bubba Jorja down from competing for 7 days. Stewards charged Bubba Jorja in contravention of GAR96(2) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment soon after the start. After taking evidence from Handler, Shannon Marum (representing Trainer - E.J. Stanley), acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Bubba Jorja guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with GAR97(1), the Stewards will stand Bubba Jorja down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.

Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Graceeta down from competing for 5 days. Stewards charged Graceeta in contravention of GAR96(2) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the second turn. After taking evidence from Trainer, W. Lambert, and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked GAR98(1)(d) in lieu of GAR96(2) and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Tzar Bowler was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Smith reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Len Poore, regarding the manner in which Tzar Bowler raced on the second turn.
