Steward's Report
Miss Academic and Silk Way were slow out. Whisky Lee checked off the heels of Tro Flo soon after the start. Gold Fever, Silk Way and Ballet Belle collided soon after the start. Miss Academic and Whisky Lee collided on the first turn. Gold Fever checked off the heels of Silk Way on the first turn. Miss Academic and Sup Boze collided on the first turn. Whisky Lee hit the running rail on the second turn.
Miss Academic was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
Whisky Lee was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Smith reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left triangle and back muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Whisky Lee down from competing for 5 days.
