Steward's Report

Vintage Moon and Santiago Bay were slow out. Hard Ball and Kings Creek collided soon after the start. Santiago Bay checked off the heels of Vintage Moon approaching the first turn. Santiago Bay galloped on the heels of Hard Ball on the first turn causing Santiago Bay to fall. Kiama Bay raced wide on the second turn. Hard Ball and Miracle Tears collided on the second turn. Miracle Tears checked off the heels of Vintage Moon approaching the home turn. Santiago Bay was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right quadricreps and left hamstring. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Santiago Bay down from competing for 5 days.
