Steward's Report
Charlesworth was slow out. Gun Striker and Assassin's Son collided soon after the start checking Assassin's Son causing Assassin's Son and Creative Blitz to collide. Creative Blitz checked off the heels of Assassin's Son approaching the first turn checking Charlesworth. Charlesworth and Creative Blitz collided approaching the second turn. Assassin's Son raced wide in the back traight. Poetic Magic and Gun Striker collided several times approaching the home turn. Gun Striker and Assassin's Son collided in the home straight causing Poetic Magic and Gun Striker to collide.
Gun Striker was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left hock and right groin. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Gun Striker down from competing for 5 days.
A swab sample was taken from Cheyne Royale, the winner of the Event.
