Steward's Report

Falcon Flex was slow out. Awesome Cole, Coole Castle and Blessed Speed collided soon after the start. Sisco Buzz, Berman Bale and Awesome Cole collided approaching the first turn checking Sisco Buzz, Berman Bale, Awesome Cole, Coole Castle, Blessed Speed and Falcon Flex. Berman Bale and Awesome Cole collided approaching the second turn. Falcon Flex checked off the heels of Legs Of Success on the second turn. Awesome Cole and Coole Castle collided on the second turn checking Awesome Cole, Coole Castle and Blessed Speed. Falcon Flex veered in and fought Berman Bale in the home straight. Coole Castle eased approaching the finishing line checking Awesome Cole. Coole Castle was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. David Hall, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hind leg. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Hall, the Stewards will stand Coole Castle down from competing for 5 days. Stewards charged Coole Castle in contravention of AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from Trainer, Carl Haas, and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked AGRR 82.1(d) in lieu of AGRR 80.2 and have directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Falcon Flex was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Hall reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Stewards charged Falcon Flex in contravention of AGRR 80.1 for fighting in the home straight. After taking evidence from Handler, Tom Dailly (representing Trainer - George Dailly), acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Falcon Flex guilty as charged. Acting in accorance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards will stand Falcon Flex down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will be required
