Super Saquan and Hunk collided soon after the start. Sleeveless and Bemery Boy collided entering the front straight checking Sleeveless and Springvale Lucy. Regal Brett was slow out. Regal Brett and Magic Sarah collided soon after the start. Beckee Who, Opening Attack and Ben Galore collided soon after the start. Opening Attack and Magic Sarah collided approaching the first turn. Ben Galore and Regal Brett collided approaching the first turn checking Regal Brett. Micky Hunter and Magic Sarah collided on the first turn checking Micky Hunter. Micky Hunter and Magic Sarah collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Micky Hunter was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right fore stopper and right hind hamstring. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Micky Hunter down from competing for 7 days.

Poetic Choice and Baywood Warrior were slow out. Army Officer and Baywood Warrior collided approaching the first turn. Baywood Warrior checked off the heels of Army Officer approaching the first turn. Trew Believer and Baywood Warrior collided on the first turn. Poetic Choice, Colour Me Happy and Army Officer collided approaching the second turn causing Colour Me Happy to fall checking Baywood Warrior and severely checking Trew Believer. Arvo's Domino and Touch Of Smokey collided on the home turn. Touch Of Smokey eased on the home turn checking Arvo's Domino. Colour Me Happy was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and left thigh. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Colour Me Happy down from competing for 7 days. Touch Of Smokey was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left metacarpal, wrist and right triangle and recommended the greyhound be stood down from competing for 10 days. Stewards charged Touch Of Smokey with contravention of AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn. After taking evidence from Handler - Mrs. J. Greenough (representing Trainer - K. Greenough), and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked AGRR 82.1(d) in lieu of AGRR 80.2 and have directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.

Fear Not and Sue Jane were slow out. Universal Glow and Chief Fortified collided soon after the start. Universal Glow and Fear Not collided on the first turn forcing Fear Not to fall and tail off as a result. Rylee's Reward and Sue Jane collided on the first turn. Chief Fortified and Leica collided on the home turn. Chief Fortified veered in and fought Ashlar Bale approaching the finishing line. Chief Fortified was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left and right hind feet and recommended the greyhound be stood down from competing for 5 days. Stewards charged Chief Fortified in contravention of AGRR 80.1 for fighting approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from Trainer, R. Tartaglia, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Chief Fortified guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards will stand Chief Fortified down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Fear Not was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Smith reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left metacarpal and split webbing to the left fore. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Fear Not down from competing for 28 days.

Tourist John was slow out. Dyna Caitlan, Muzumbo and Slamm collided soon after the start. Ingeborg and Dyna Caitlan collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn. Tourist John, It's A Cruise and Majestic Flex collided approaching the second turn checking Majestic Flex and severely checking It's A Cruise. Nun's Habit checked off the heels of Ingeborg in the home straight checking Nun's Habit. It's A Cruise was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right back muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand It's A Cruise down from competing for 5 days. Stewards directed a swab sample be taken from It's A Cruise, which finished in 8th position.

Trewly Special was slow out. Black Lee crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Nitro Neveelk, Zyrtec and Tuqiri. Sisco Buzz and Nitro Neveelk collided approaching the first turn. Sisco Buzz, Nitro Neveelk and Maddi Keysy collided on the first turn. Sisco Buzz and Zyrtec collided on the second turn. Sisco Buzz raced wide in the back straight checking Zyrtec and Tuqiri.

Slick Galore and Resigned collided on the first turn checking Springvale Jinx. Pristine Litenin checked off the heels of Triple Trio on the first turn. Springvale Jinx and Jacarrest collided approaching the second turn. Jacarrest checked off the heels of Resigned entering the back straight. Slick Galore and Rocky collided on the fifth turn. Slick Galore and Endless Pit collided entering the home straight. Swab samples were taken from the placegetters - Rocky (1st), Slick Galore (2nd) and Endless Pit (3rd).

New Road, Captain Chinook and Cosgrove Allen were slow out. Rare Wine, New Road, Captain Chinook and Cosgrove Allen collided soon after the start checking New Road. Bertam Bale and Rare Wine collided approaching the first turn checking Rare Wine. Choda Boy checked off the heels of Foolish Jean on the first turn. Bertram Bale and Captain Chinook collided on the first turn checking Captain Chinook. Rare Wine and New Road collided on the first turn and again in the back straight. Bertram Bale checked off the heels of Choda Boy entering the home straight.

World Champ Camp and Plastered were slow out. Dynamic Fool and Blessed Speed collided soon after the start. Heitiki's Champ checked off the heels of Dynamic Fool on the first turn checking Mid City Mandy and World Champ Camp.

Nat's Thunder was slow out. Del Santo, Sir Elmer, Chopper's Nephew and Iza Rule collided on the first turn checking Sir Elmer and Chopper's Nephew severely checking Iza Rule. Del Santo and Lady Quist collided in the home straight.
