Steward's Report

Ceramist and Jazzy's Girl were slow out. Shensi Toy and Sports Miss collided approaching the first turn. Sally's Run and Jazzy's Girl collided on the first turn. Shensi Toy hit the running rail on the second turn. Shensi Toy checked off the heels of Jazzy's Girl entering the back straight checking Cynthia Bale which fell as a result. Shensi Toy checked off the heels of Ceramist in the back straight. Sally's Run and Jazzy's Girl collided approaching the home turn. Shensi Toy was vetted following the Event and Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that she could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Cynthia Bale was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Westergren reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left pencil muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Westergren, the Stewards will stand Cynthia Bale down from competing for 3 days. Sally's Run was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Westergren reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the right hind. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Westergren, the Stewards will stand Sally's Run down from competing for 7 days. A swab sample was taken from Paua To Burn, the winner of the Event, which equalled the track record at a time of 29.49.
