Flossy Fling checked off the heels of Beilharz Sunrise approaching the first turn checking Una Bale. Una Bale checked off the heels of Ravada Reason entering the back straight. Promised Land checked off the heels of Flossy Fling on the third turn. Beilharz Sunrise, Ange Jones and Ravada Reason collided on the home turn. Promised Land checked off the heels of Una Bale on the home turn. Ange Jones and Ravada Reason collided entering the home straight. Beilharz Sunrise and Flossy Fling collided entering the home straight. Ange Jones veered in and fought Ravada Reason entering the home straight. Promised Land and Mint Solo collided entering the home straight. Ange Jones and Ravada Reason collided approaching the finishing line. Ange Jones was vetted following the Event and Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that she could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Stewards charged Ange Jones in contravention of AGRR 80.1 for fighting entering the home straight. After taking evidence from Handler, Ray Bartolo (representing Trainer, P. Bartolo), acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Ange Jones guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards will stand Ange Jones down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all racks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Ravada Reason was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Westergren reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left and right monkey muscles. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Westergren, the Stewards will stand Ravada Reason down from competing for 5 days.
