Steward's Report
Gateway Butcher was slow out. Zanadu and Just Bob collided approaching the first turn. Just Bob, William's Choice and You Little Horse collided on the first turn checking Just Bob and William's Choice. Zanadu and You Little Horse collided approaching the second turn. Just Bob and William's Choice collided approaching the second turn. Sports Miss galloped on the heels of Gateway Butcher on the second turn checking Sports Miss and You Little Horse. Sports Miss and Zanadu collided on the third turn.
Just Bob was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triceps and split webbing to the right foreleg. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Just Bob down from competing for 7 days.
William's Choice was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Smith reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left deltoid and a spike wound to the right fore. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand William's Choice down from competing for 5 days.
A swab sample was taken from You Little Horse, the third placegetter.
