This race was approximately 1 minute late due to malfunction with the judges system. A pre race sample was taken from Pink the winner of the event. Menado and Be The Flame were slow out and collided soon after the start, checking Be The Flame. Menado and Dr. Billy Ray collided approaching first turn, Checked Dr.Billy Ray. Texicali Star, Axis and Can Do collided approaching first turn , checking Axis. Texicali Star and Menado collided approaching second turn, checking Texicali Star, Be The Flame and Axis.Can Do galloped on the heels of Quick Grab on the home turn, severely checking Can Do. Axis was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. The winning time of 37.45 was a new track record.
