Dr.Joy was slow out. Dr.Joy checked off Reekay Rip soon after the start. Take Pleasure In raced wide approaching the first turn. Jimmy Douglas, Perfect Paddy and Bullicourt Omen collided on the first turn checking Bullicourt Omen, Perfect Paddy, Reekay Rip and Cassie's Pedro. Reekay Rip, Perfect Paddy and Dr.Joy collided approaching the home turn checking Dr.Joy and severely checking Perfect Paddy. Cassie's Pedro and Perfect Paddy collided on the home turn. Take Pleasure In and Reekay Rip raced wide in the home straight.
Perfect Paddy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
