King James and Rainbow Tulip were slow out. Ryan Bale and Just Like Glass collided soon after the start. Ryan Bale checked off the heels of Just Like Glass on the first turn. Rainbow Tulip checked off the heels of Just Like Glass approaching the home turn. King James galloped on the heels of Elsie Marven on the home turn checking both greyhounds, King James fell as a result causing Our Gemma to race wide. Ryan Bale and Rainbow Tulip collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds, both raced wide as a result.
