Steward's Report
Meteor Bale, General Cosgrove and Big Smig were slow out. Meteor Bale and General Cosgrove collided soon after the start. Audrey Elaine, Big Smig and Go Dionne collided on the first turn. Red Red Wine, Meteor Bale and General Cosgrove collided on the first turn. Audrey Elaine and Big Smig collided approaching the second turn causing General Cosgrove to gallop on the heels of Audrey Elaine severely checking Audrey Elaine and checking Meteor Bale to a lesser extent. Red Red Wine, General Cosgrove and Big Smig collided entering the back straight. Audrey Elaine checked off the heels of Meteor Bale entering the back straight causing Audrey Elaine to stumble and lose considerable ground.
Audrey Elaine was vetted following the Event and Dr. Margaret Backhoy, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was found to be sore in the left wrist. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Backhoy, the Stewards will stand Audrey Elaine down from competing for 5 days to recuperate.
