Pamareena Star and Aksaray were slow out. Night Riot and Bladon Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Night Riot. Night Riot and Pamareena Star collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Bladon Boy and Aksaray collided on the second turn. More Reward and Random Flyer collided on the third turn. Random Flyer veered out and fought More Reward approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Random Flyer was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michelle Brooks, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained a cut to the left fore pad. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Brooks, the Stewards will stand Random Flyer down from competing for 5 days. Stewards charged Random Flyer under the provisions of AGRR 80.1 for fighting from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight. After taking evidence from Handler, Joe Briffa (representing Trainer - Graeme Bate), acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Random Flyer guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards will stand Random Flyer down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.
