Steward's Report
Captain Insano, Imran, Spotted Jagga and Baggy Green were slow out. Peking Keysy and Spotted Jagga collided soon after the start. Captain Insano and Imran collided soon after the start. Peking Keysy and Marozo Magee collided approaching the first turn. Houdini's Back and Spotted Jagga collided on the first turn checking Peking Keysy. Imran faltered in the back straight. Houdini's Back, Captain Insano and Spotted Jagga collided approaching the home turn causing Captain Insano to fall checking Houdini's Back as a result.
Captain Insano was vetted following the Event and Dr. Wendy Balmain, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that she could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
Imran was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Balmain reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Balmain, the Stewards will stand Imran down from competing for 28 days to recuperate.
A swab sample was taken from Sweet Silkab, the winner of the Event.
