Black As Black and All Rounder collided on the first turn checking All Rounder. Black As Black raced wide approaching the second turn. Jemalong Leader galloped on the heels of Ima Faithful on the second turn. Jemalong Leader and All Rounder collided approaching the home turn. All Rounder veered out and fought Shirdale Park approaching the finishing line; Jaziri Bale was checked as a result. All Rounder was vetted following the Event and Dr. Wendy Balmain, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was found to have minor spike wounds to the right hind. No stand down penalty for this condition was imposed. Stewards charged All Rounder in breach of AGRR 80.1 for fighting approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from Handler, Clive Brennan (representing trainer - Daryl Brennan), acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found All Rounder guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards will stand All Rounder down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Shirdale Park was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Balmain reported that the greyhound was found to have a laceration to the left flank. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Balmain, the Stewards will stand Shirdale Park down from competing for 14 days.
