Steward's Report
Chesta Bale and Runaway Daddy were slow out. Chesta Bale and Oscar Jackson collided soon after the start. Runaway Daddy, Farloe's Rose and Han Solo collided on the first turn checking Farloe's Rose. Westar Wizard and Top End Lad collided on the first turn. Runaway Daddy raced wide approaching the second turn. Farloe's Rose checked off the heels of Han Solo on the home turn. Westar Wizard and Top End Lad collided several times in the home straight.
Top End Lad was vetted following the Event and Dr. David Stobo, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was found to be sore in the left hind biceps. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Stobo, the Stewards will stand Top End Lad down from competing for 5 days. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Brian Alton, regarding the manner in which Top End Lad raced in the home straight and acting in accordance with AGRR 85, the Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.
A swab sample was taken from Marungi Doll, the winner of the Event.
