Smurfinator, Cricket Cutie, Dyna Henderson, Smokey Shiraz and Sandy Shoals were slow out.
Smokey Shiraz checked off the heels of Sandy Shoals approaching the first turn. Dark Drum checked off the heels of Royal Footprints on the first turn checking Dyna Henderson and severely checking Smurfinator, Emerald's Gem, Smokey Shiraz and Sandy Shoals, Sandy Shoals fell as a result. Dark Drum checked off the heels of Dyna Henderson on the first turn. Royal Footprints checked off the heels of Cricket Cutie on the first turn. Dark Drum and Smurfinator collided approaching the home turn.
