Steward's Report
Pre race samples were taken from Slow As Pat winner of the event.
Regal Pinari and Talira were slow to begin. Talira faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Kirabilli Skye and Lil Miss Fantasy collided on the first turn. Regal Pinari and Lil Miss Fantasy collided on the home turn checking Lil Miss Fantasy. Go Go Gracie cramped entering the home straight and fell.
Go Go Gracie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound collapsed, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Talira was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.
After reviewing the video footage and consulting with the on course veterinarian(B. Bachoy) Stewards concluded that Go Go Gracie cramped during the race contributing to the greyhound collapsing.
Stewards spoke to I.Chircop, the handler of the greyhound Go Go Gracie. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
