Vesna's Express was quick to begin. Sir Ducal was slow to begin. Blistering Sands and Baggy Road collided soon after the start. Marine Girl and Archerfield collided soon after the start. Sir Ducal, Marine Girl, Lady Spinello and Baggy Road collided approaching the first turn checking Marine Girl, Lady Spinello and Baggy Road. Archerfield and Totally Tango collided on the first turn.
