Arvo's Africano was a late scratching at 5.10pm by order of Stewards. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Sooner Shake Ya was slow to begin. Sooner Shake Ya and Carlos West collided soon after the start. Candy Floss and Arvo's Rocco collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Soul Lass crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Carlos West and Scherzinger. Dirty Bit, Soul Lass and Scherzinger collided on the first turn checking Soul Lass and Scherzinger. Candy Floss raced wide approaching the home turn checking Arvo's Rocco. Soul Lass, Carlos West and Scherzinger collided approaching the home turn checking Carlos West; Carlos West raced wide as a result. Sooner Shake Ya raced wide approaching the home turn.
Candy Floss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck and right pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
