Super Misty was quick to begin. Emotional Lass and El Bruiser were slow to begin. Super Misty crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Arvo's Ela. Arvo's Ela was checked off El Bruiser approaching the first turn. Emotional Lass and El Bruiser collided on the first turn checking El Bruiser. Perisher Valley, White Rabbit and Riverside Mary collided on the first turn severely checking White Rabbit and Riverside Mary. Emotional Lass and Perisher Valley raced wide approaching the home turn.
