Steward's Report
Zambora Lou and Silver Man were slow to begin. Stack and William Rose collided soon after the start. Dr. Madison, Flywheel Bella and Stack collided on the first turn checking Zambora Lou. Flywheel Bella and Stack collided in the home straight. Tin Shed Fred turned it's head out in the home straight checking Zambora Lou.
Flywheel Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind triangle muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Samuel Bye, the trainer regarding the racing manners of Flywheel Bella. After hearing evidence from Mr. Bye, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
Stack underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have dislocated left hind toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Tin Shed Fred underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr. David Kerr regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Tin Shed Fred was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Kerr pleaded guilty to the charge, Tin Shed Fred was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
