Urana Rapid (severely checked and fell approaching home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Classic Charm underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a tongue abrasison. A 0 day stand down period was imposed.

Especial Charlie was slow to begin.

Yankee Blood (checked and lost ground on the first turn) and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Mighty Jo (racing manners at box rise), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr John Mangion regarding the racing manners of Mighty Jo at box rise. After hearing submissions from Mr Mangion, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.

Colour Violet, Ace Redeemer and Leroy were slow to begin.

It was noted that the muzzle of Cloisonne became dislodged during the running of the event.

Nellie Zoom was quick to begin. Archie Mcivor and No Way Punk were slow to begin.

Janie Cabang was slow to begin.

Pretty Reef (visibly eased and lost ground approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jordan Formosa regarding Pretty Reef’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Pretty Reef was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Formosa pleaded not guilty to the charge. Pretty Reef was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

An out of competition sample was taken from Call Me John on 21.2.24 pursuant to GAR 139.

Myall Mannered – Late scratching at 2:12pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to an elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Atlas Alibi (lost ground approaching the home turn and in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right toe injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Blue Tick Maya and Hurricane Mist were quick to begin. Revesby Bale and Crackerjack Pop were slow to begin.

Blue Tick Maya (faltered in the back straight and tailed off), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Crackerjack Pop (lost ground on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a stopper and wrist injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
