Steward's Report
Premier Wally was slow to begin. Regal Villain and Sky Alert collided soon after the start checking Regal Villain. Hard To Handle and Mandzukic collided on the first turn. Premier Wally checked off Sky Alert in the back straight. Mandzukic checked off Bella's Girl approaching the home turn. Dee Diamond, Sky Alert and Mandzukic collided approaching the home turn severely checking Sky Alert.
Stewards queried M Chilcott, handler of Dee Diamond and in regards to the improved performance of the greyhound. Mr Chilcott stated that todays race was a drop in grade. Mr Chilcott further stated that the greyhound began better today, and had also been unlucky in previous runs when found to be injured. A sample was taken from Dee Diamond winner of the event.
