Zambezi faltered and shifted out approaching the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Alness Treasure underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left long head triceps muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Kate Gorman regarding the racing manners of Alness treasure on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Ms Gorman, viewing the available race footage and taking into consideration the injury, Stewards took no further action.
