Steward's Report
Plush was slow to begin.
Dr. Rounder raced wide throughout the event and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Plush raced ungenerously throughout the event, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left deltoid and sartorius muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Deep Rift turned head outwards in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Des Douch declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Douch regarding Deep Rift's racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Deep Rift was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Douch pleaded guilty to the charge. Deep Rift was suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Absolute Haze turned head inwards and marred Deep Rift in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Justin Nolan regarding Absolute Haze’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Absolute Haze was charged with marring. Mr. Nolan pleaded guilty to the charge. Absolute Haze was suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
