Steward's Report
Hosey Sidekick was quick to begin. Firing Chief and Rogan Bale were slow to begin.
Aston Khan (lost ground in the back straight and tailed off) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Rocket Ralph (checked and fell after the finishing line) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound and injury to the left wrist. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Darren Peterson regarding the racing manners of Rocket Ralph in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Peterson, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards determined that the contact between greyhounds was made as a result of Elusive Barb shifting outwards and Rocket Ralph maintaining it's running line. Subsequently, stewards took no further action.
